Tyneside Writers and Revolutionaries

Wednesday 26 February 2025 7.30pm THERE’S NO NEED TO BOOK

Writers and Revolutionaries of the North East is a talk describing many individuals who have been writers in many genres and/ or revolutionaries who have lived or visited the North East.

Our Speaker

Marion Anderson, President of Newcastle City Guides, has been guiding and giving talks for 50 years.  She has accumulated so many facts and stories over this time that each time she delivers her talk, she chooses afresh from over a hundred individuals who fit either or both of these categories, often linking in with current events. Come and be intrigued and excited by the glorious array of folk who have graced our town.

Our Venue

This event will take place at St George’s United Reformed Church on Newton Road, High Heaton NE7 7HP. It is on the corner with Boundary Gardens, the same block as Heaton Stannington’s football ground, Grounsell Park.

There are excellent public transport links including the numbers 18, 38, 52 and 553, which stop right by the church.

There is car parking on the surrounding streets.

Booking

The event is free to Heaton History Group members and costs £2.50 for non-members. There’s no need to book. Just turn up on the night.
