The Self-Build Estate of Tudor Wynd

Heaton History Group member, Ian Clough, lives in Bosworth Gardens, in the first house to be erected on what he calls ‘the self-build estate of Tudor Wynd’. Ian has written a book telling the story of the construction of the 32 houses, gathered from some of the men who built them, their widows and other family members.

My family moved into 6 Tudor Wynd when the houses were first built. I was 18 months old. When I left home at 19 yrs my family remained in the house. My dad, James Robertson, was one of the plasterers. Loved living there.
I would love a copy of Ian Cloughs book.
